Kleinert Kutz Hand Care Center with internationally known surgeons and researchers has grown steadily for more than 40 years. Since 1960, more than 1,200 physicians from 58 countries have been trained as Hand Fellows in advanced microsurgical techniques in our Institute.
Our research has resulted in signifi cant medical achievements – many of them dramatic "firsts" in the world. They include:
- First reported repair of a digital artery
- First reported successful technique for primary flexor tendon repair in "No Man's Land"
- First vascularized epiphyseal transfer
- First bilateral forearm replantation
