The CM Kleinert Institute, along with Jewish Hospital and the Institute for Cellular Therapeutics at the University of Louisville, KY, hosted a "Composite Tissue Allotransplantation (CTA) Update Session" on January 14, 2008, in conjunction with the American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery (ASRM) meeting in Beverly Hills, California. Internationally known hand and transplant surgeons and researchers provided updates on immunosuppression strategies in CTA and discussed current status of CTA recipients. This meeting is a followup to the 6th International CTA Symposium held in Tucson, AZ, in January of 2006, and the first followup in January, 2007.
