The Christine M. Kleinert Institute Fellows Farewell Reception
The Christine M. Kleinert Institute Fellows Farewell Reception
On June 3, 2010, the 2009-2010 Christine M. Kleinert Institute Fellowship class had their farewell award ceremony. This event was held at the Jewish Hospital Rudd Heart & Lung Conference Center. Fellows were given a Kleinert Society certificate, 2009-2010 group portrait, a Louisville Slugger bat signed by faculty, and some fellows received an Educational Commitment certificate for 90% and above attendance at morning conference.

The Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery offers a one-year fellowship for general, orthopaedic, or plastic surgeons who wish to gain greater expertise in hand and upper-extremity surgery. The fellowship was initiated in 1960 by Harold Kleinert, MD. More than 1,200 physicians from 58 countries have received training in hand surgery as clinical fellows, research fellows, or residents. In addition to refining their understanding of hand surgery, many of these individuals have contributed immeasurably to the fellowship, bringing new ideas and techniques from around the world.
