The orthotists at the Orthotic Care Center design, manufacture and fit patients with custom orthoses (braces and splints) for the extremities including the hand, arm, leg and foot. The also design many different types of adaptive equipment to help patients lead active, independent lives.
The Orthotic Care Center is accredited by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics.
At the Orthotic Care Center, certified orthotists offer:
- Custom-fabricated braces
- Static and dynamic splints
- Adaptive aids
Two of the Christine M. Kleinert Institute's most visible services are The Hand Therapy Center and the Orthotic Care Center. These clinics help patients gain or regain optimal use of their hands and upper extremities. While many patients come to the centers following a visit to the hand surgeons at Kleinert Kutz, the therapy and orthotic services are available to any individual needing treatment.
